Nope. It's called "character development beyond level 20", and is the new moto for GW:EN, where, apparently, everything will be based on custom PvE skills, which I'm betting will be leveled exactly like LB and SS.
And these titles are apparently not account wide due to role-playing or continuity reasons. Then again, people love to grind, so I guess that's where the future is.

Even though I only have one PvE character anymore with both titles already maxed, I can see how suck it must be if you have like 8. If not both, then at least make LB account based.

If you don't enjoy leveling characters maybe you should have less
I personally couldn't stand grinding max SS and LB for more than my one PvE player, and thats why i have one.
However that rant at you aside i have to agree on making more titles account based
Specially grinds and gold sinks

Personally for things like this I divide titles into two groups:
- Task based titles where they have a list of tasks you need to complete, but you only need to complete each task once. Eg vanquisher, explorer, mission completion.
- Grind based titles where you need to keep doing the same task over and over until you max out the title. Eg treasure hunter, SS, LB, any PvP title.
For the task based ones I can see having the title character based because they show you did those things on that character. But for the grind based ones, I can't see why they shouldn't be account based.

for the most part, i could care less about titles but the lb/ss titles are directly tied to the effectiveness of pve only skills. for that reason alone, ive been grinding my lb and ss titles to a lvl that make the skills tied to them effective. all titles that are tied to pve only skills should be account and not character based.

I sign this for Light bringer only. Sunspear itself is only a grind for the last 2-3 ranks. For the storywise its fine. However light bringer is a grind completely and since its not required for the storyline, Making it acccount wide is the perfect thing to do.

I maxed out both titles on one character...
I don't really want to do it again for all my other ones, too.

Agree, I'm nearly max out both LB and SS on 1 character. Can't see myself doing that again.

this idea would break the design of nightfall, since character progress through missions have certain sunspear requirements.

I'd rather see better rewards offered for the LB bounties. Getting 2 points per kill seems kind of low in most areas. Offer 4-8, like SS bounties scale, and the grind is cut down considerably.
I reached max level of SS with NO, none, zilch, nada grind/farming of points. I did the bounties at every shrine, every time I entered a zone. I did all the quests that offered points as a reward. Granted, Vanquishing supplied a lot of points people not doing that would get, but its certainly an option available.
LB I have done moderate farming for, and am only at rank 7, and need 24.5k yet to max it
More points at the bounties is all they need to do (imo).

SS is not so bad you tend to get up pretty quickly, and its far easier to get the points onit than on LB, for example my main character has 45,000 SS but only 22,000 LB,
/signed as if they make one account based the other should be too.
Also with the Faction titles bing account based it woudl make sense to have these account based too, grind with one character is mroe than enough.

The truth is that people want them maxed out fast.
And there is one fastest way to max them all:
- Sunspear: Hard Mode Undead Hunt out of Gates of Desolation.
- Lightbringer: Hard Mode Domain of Secrets.
So if you want the title, you go there and repeat again and again the same run.
That's not really very fun.
At least they could add some repeatable quests giving 100..400 points or something.

Try Hard Mode?
I wouldn't mind if they did take this into consideration, change it to be more like the Kurz/Lux titles. (Without the insane amount required for max)
So they make the new amount for max like 100k for both but add up what your current characters already have and make it account based.
Seems like a good compromise, what do you think?

/signed, especially for LB title. It is totally retard for players who have 3 or more characters to maximise all of them, it has non sense, it's no more GW but a grind like level grind in WoW, that's why It really should be based on account, and probably make each level longer to get.
But I agree they could let SS likethat as you can get a decent level not so hardly, but LB really sucks, I really hope GW : EN won't do the same fault of making several titles like that, or it won't be that interesting o.O.

Please tell me how forcing us to stop at parts of the NF campaign and grind our way up to an arbitrary number before being allowed to continue is a good thing.
Then take into account that when I took my characters (dervish and paragon) through there, by the time I had gotten there and capped all nearby elites for my primary profession, I was already over the limit required.

Brilliant! Let's take it a few steps forward and finally strip grind out of this game altogether. You log in for the first time, immediately see the ending cinematic, and get a free über character with the best equipment, skills, and everything else in the game. Yeah, that'd be fun. Down with grind!
